About RAY
The Regional Alliance for Youth (RAY) is a coalition of community leaders committed to impacting systemic change in the way in which services and resources are provided for the youth of East Central Illinois through its Lumpkin Family Foundation supported grant program and coalition-building initiatives.
Through the Youths Future Grant Program and various coalition-building initiatives, RAY seeks to improve the system serving youth by
- linking services providers together in order to enhance the services that they offer youth and their families and increasing collaboration among youth services providers throughout the region.
- offering supportive dialogue to grantees on their funded projects and technical support to for RAY’s grant process,
- supporting (funding) collaborative projects that build capacity (a) among collaborators and (b) outside of collaborating organizations—that is, among other youth service providers, among youth themselves and among other community stakeholders. Capacity building might be reflected in training and implementation of training or in evidence of more engaged constituencies.
RAY envisions a child- and family-friendly region in which all children have access to the resources and services needed to realize their future potential.
